South Africa is set to host the World Rugby U20 Championship in 2023 and 2024. In 2012, the Junior Springboks won the championship at their home ground. The competition includes 12 teams and will be held from June 24 to July 4, 2023. This is the perfect platform for the young players to flaunt their skills.
In order to maintain a fair system, the Championship and the Trophy follow a certain pattern when it comes to promotions and demotions. If a team finishes at the last spot in the Championship League, they will be forced to participate in the Trophy competition for the upcoming season, whereas the current winner of the Trophy competition will be granted a place in the Championship League.
